		A Shuttle drone system is an alternative to the normal slider drone system. Several variations are possible.


	On a standard set the open smallpipes chanter has a range of nine notes. In D this would range from D to d with the C below. The top c to d interval is about a full tone. Using Irish style cross-fingering this gives C natural or, with two fingers off at the top, a reasonable C sharp. It works well with Scottish fingering and has a loud bright tone Keys can be added


	Bellows are made from hardwood and hand sewn to a natural finish leather cover. The blow pipe tube, arm strap and belt are also made from leather. All bags are normally lightweight, durable rubberised fabric. A leather bag, if preferred, can be supplied at an additional cost. Covers are normally velvet
